A Cryptographer Turned Quantum Strategist

I’m Addie, a former USAF cryptographer who spent eight years working with mission-critical encryption systems where identity, trust, and data integrity had real-world consequences. During my military career, I worked directly with the cryptographic infrastructure that supports national-level operations and learned firsthand how fragile trust becomes when encryption fails.

After the military, I served as a cybersecurity specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice, supporting federal systems and contributing to policy and security architecture across high-impact environments. I later worked on the NIST High Value Assets (HVA) Program, helping define national-level HVAs, high-value data categories, and the policy structures that protect them. My work involved interpreting NIST SP 800-series guidance, shaping agency adoption, and evaluating cryptographic controls at scale.

Parallel to this career, I’ve spent over a decade studying quantum computing and post-quantum cryptography, tracking every stage of the PQC standardization process, analyzing vendor readiness, following the threat landscape, and mapping how quantum breaks modern trust systems.

Today, I’m building the Quantum Risk Migration Framework (QRMF)... a leadership-focused model designed to help organizations navigate the 2026-2030 quantum transition with clarity, confidence, and strategy rather than fear or confusion.

But I built this program for practitioners, because I believe they deserve a roadmap too.

I care deeply about protecting data and preparing our industry for what’s coming. I don’t want the tech world blindsided the way it was with AI.
